While most young boys were playing with Estes rockets and baseball cards, Tim Baird was tying his babysitter up with the double half-hitches that he learned in Scouts. If only he hadn't brought in the peacock feathers and the jar of mayonnaise everything would have been okay. He was credited with "time served" and released to the custody of his parents.
Tim was well on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout when the unfortunate "strip poker" incident happened at Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico. That's when he turned to singing.
Tim spent 18 years with the Texas Boys Choir. At 23, he was the oldest soprano in the history of the choir. After his voice changed he joined the Party Crashers.
In his early years Tim looked so much like Buddy Holly that even people that had known Buddy were often fooled. In fact, although most people think that Gary Busey starred in the Buddy Holly Story, they are wrong. It was Tim Baird portraying Gary Busey portraying Buddy Holly. GARY BUSEY
WASN'T EVEN THERE!!! HE WAS IN HAWAII SOMEWHERE!!!! IT WASN'T EVEN HIM!!!!!................but enough about me.
Tim Baird has made medical history on several occasions. At the age of 19, he went to bed one night at 5' 4" tall, and woke up the next morning at 7' 1". He has been trying to stabilize ever since. In 1994 Tim donated his body to science, unfortunately he wasn't through using it yet, so they had to give it back. At least most of it. And, in a related story, in 1996 Tim was the first man to give birth to twins live on the internet.
Tim is an amazing performer, he knows the words to over 200 songs, unfortunately, he sings over 300 songs.
Tim, or "Bone" as he is affectionately called, is an avid CB radio buff. His CB 'handle' is "The Lone Bone". He has written several CB oriented songs such as "Why Don't My Baby Call Me Good Buddy No More?", "I Got A Smokey On My Butt And An Aching In My Heart", and "10-4 Good Buddy, You Got My Back Door".
The Party Crashers would not be the same without Tim Baird. There would only be six of them.
